Illustration Concept Art - Undead media
For a personal project titled Undead Media, I was tasked with designing a CD case for a band of my choosing. I chose The Red Pears, an indie band known for their raw, emotive sound. To reflect their ethos, I incorporated everyday materials that are personal to me—such as newspaper, chewed gum, and coffee stains—into the design. These elements were intentionally used to evoke a sense of nostalgia, wear, and imperfection. The result is a unique, tactile CD case that embodies the band's grungy yet heartfelt aesthetic, blending personal experiences with the band's music in a way that feels both authentic and visually compelling.

Publication Design- Memory Box
For a Publication Design class, I was tasked with creating a 40-page magazine spread. My chosen topic, themes of nostalgia, aging, and family—gave me the chance to design about topics I’m deeply passionate about. A refined passion project from my later years in school, the magazine blends personal storytelling and visual design, capturing the emotional layers of memory and the passage of time through rule-bending layouts and nostalgic elements.

Graphic Design- Memory Box +
Macaulay Culkin Pop-Up
For a Graphic Design project, I was tasked with creating an interactive pop-up focused on experience design and rebranding a previous project. I chose to reimagine Memory Box, inviting viewers to explore memories through layered visuals, tactile materials, and hidden surprises. Macaulay Culkin, selected as the brand ambassador for obvious reasons, adds a playful and nostalgic touch. This project fosters a personal connection, bringing memories to life in a dynamic and unexpected way.

Digital Illustration- Gig Posters
For an illustration project, I digitally designed a gig poster featuring Radiohead as the opener, Pixies as the headliner, and Sonic Youth to close, set in a Chicago venue. After researching each band's past tour posters and album covers, I hand-lettered three unique fonts that matched the essence of each band. These poster designs incorporate vibrant splashes of color and a distressed, screen-printed feel, with hidden gems tucked throughout the piece, adding depth and surprise for the viewer.

Vinyl Cover Design
For a package design project, I was prompted to create 3 cohesive packages designed three vinyl covers for underground artist Molly Santana, using unconventional materials like cement, denim, dirt, and grass to reflect her raw, experimental sound. The textures create a tactile, authentic feel, balanced by bold typography and vibrant pink tracklist text for contrast. My custom record label logo, Salas Records, ties the collection together with a polished finish.
